May 30, 2011
Help for Heroes latest challenge is 'Horses Help Heroes'. A group of wounded service men and women will drive a horse-drawn replica of a WW1 ambulance from Land's End to John O'Groats in 8 days, setting off on 21 June.
So far, more than £70,000 has been raised for the charity, the goal being £1,000,000. £400 was raised at Newbury 2 on 15 May, thanks to Duncan Paget of D S Paget & Co, who arranged for the ambulance to be at Newbury.
Donations can be made by visiting www.horseshelpheroes.org.uk or by texting "horse" to 70900 to donate £5.
