| The business began in 1988 with 25 acres of old mixed plum orchard which in most years remains the backbone of the business. In 1990 we started to grow vegetables for the wholesale markets and local retailers. We now focus all of our production on supplying a wide variety of fruit and vegetables directly to our customers at Farmers' Markets in the Midlands and Thames Valley. Our range includes asparagus, peas, beans, strawberries, beetroot, tomatoes, squashes and a wide variety of brassicas. Our aim is to provide the customer with a range of tasty produce, selecting varieties which we enjoy, exploiting our early season and always picking as near to the market time as we dare. The clay soil which we farm just above the Vale of Evesham imparts a particularly good flavour but also means that we only grow a few root vegetables. The plum season usually lasts for about 6 weeks between the end of July and September, exactly when depends on the weather through the preceding winter and spring. We have about 20 varieties of plums including Prolific, Czar, Swan, Purple and Yellow 'Egg' Plums, Victoria, Damson and Marjorie Seedling. Please contact us for an update from June onwards.
