| Our Pigs…. • Are Rare Breed Oxfordshire Black and Sandy’s. • Free range all of their lives. • Are given very generous space. • Stay with their mother for 10 – 12 weeks. • Are fed on food that is free of additives and growth promoters. We have a small herd comprising of 15 sows and 1 working boar. Our Bacon and Sausages….. As we have taken great pains to produce our pigs in the best possible way it is only natural that we want the finished result to be produced up to the highest possible standard. Our bacon has been dry – cured using age old methods by people who value traditional ways and take real pride in their craft. There is no added water or preservatives other than salt, sugar and saltpetre. The smoking is also done the traditional way using hickory chippings to give that wonderful delicate flavour without giving that over salted taste often found in mass produced foods. | |
